About
Hi! I'm Sara- welcome to Releve!
A little bit about me...
I am a certified Stott Pilates and barre instructor in Vancouver, BC. I have a passion for teaching Pilates and helping people reach their fullest potential. Whether you are looking for athletic conditioning, injury rehab or pain relief, I can help you reach your goals and feel your best!
My areas of interest include; athletic conditioning, shoulder and hip stabilization/rehabilitation and managing muscular imbalances. As a former competitive synchronized swimmer and coach, I have personally used Pilates as a cross training modality for many years prior to finishing my certification. My teaching style is dynamic, supportive and motivating. I strive to hold space for my clients so they feel supported and safe in their practice. Thanks to my years as a synchronized swimmer and coach, I have a eye for detail and alignment. You may discover things you didn't realize before! My many years of coaching (10+) has provided me with the skills to coach people to their goals and understand the nuances of movement and emotions.

What is Pilates?
Pilates is an exercise system that was created by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s. It is a progressive series of exercises that focus on breath, alignment, spinal articulation and core strength. Pilates, originally called "Contrology" uses the mat and different apparatus' to help achieve optimal strength and flexibility. Pilates has taken many forms over the years, and is used to help with anything from general health and fitness, sports conditioning to rehab and injury prevention.

Group Reformer Series
Interested in group reformer training? The universal reformer is one of the Pilates apparatus' that uses springs and a pulley system to provide feedback, support and offer resistance. This helps to develop core strength, stability, flexibility and overall fitness!
My group sessions are run monthly, and include a beginner's series as well as options for progressing. I have chosen to run these as a pre-registered program to ensure you get results! The series' are progressive which means you build each week with the same group. Please note: due to the nature of group classes, they are not pre natal friendly, or appropriate for major injuries or limitations. Please contact me for an assessment or private training if this applies to you.
