About Sara

I’ve always been a mover.

At the age of 9 I discovered synchronized swimming, which led me on a 15 year journey of lessons in resilience, team work, self-discovery, discipline and coaching. It also let me to Pilates at the age of 15. Learning this modality at such a young age really deepened my practice and understanding of body control and the importance of breathe combined with movement.

I began my coaching career at the age of 17. I took teams to National level championships across Canada and was the Assistant Coach of the 2007 PEI Canada games team, all by the age of 20. My coaching style has always been focused, dynamic and encouraging. Thanks to my background of yelling on pool decks, I developed the ability to command and hold a room with confidence.

I’ve worked in many industries (hospitality, food product development, lifeguarding and more!) traveled through Australia for a year after University and spent a couple of years teaching English in South Korea. I also hold a BSC in Nutrition (UPEI ‘09) and a Diploma in Holistic Nutrition (IHN’15). To say I’ve lived 9 lives is likely an understatement. All of this to bring me back to my original passion: movement and coaching.

I believe teaching Pilates is more than learning a series of exercises. It demands your focus, control and can positively impact all areas of your life if you let it. I don’t just teach- I coach you to become a stronger, more resilient version of yourself.
